From serving in WWII to saving lives, Dr. Benson is a celebrated individual in today’s world

Dr. Ron Benson has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Recognized among his peers for more than six decades in the health care field, Dr. Benson has received multiple honors highlighting his accomplishments and contributions. In addition to being a World War II veteran with the Royal Australian Air Force, he has also worked as a physician at Melbourne University and the Chief Executive Officer of Hiedelberg Repatriation Hospital.

After serving in the Royal Australian Air Force from 1942 to 192, Dr. Benson earned an MBBS from Melbourne University. Two years later, he married Barbara Jean Chorolsky, who has been an immense source of support during his life. He worked as a physician at Melbourne University for the Department of Veterans affairs from 1967 to 1988. In the 1980s, he joined Hiedelberg Repatriation Hospital. Throughout his career, he has contributed to articles in social science, humanities and management. Despite his retirement, Dr. Benson remains active in the health care community and has been recognized in various publications by Marquis Who’s Who.
